About Evo Lotto
This module is based off of the TotalLottery module by Matt Palermo from back in 2006.
This system here is a free to use, (Donations appreciated if you like the script), that will allow registered users register for the event and have a chance to win a prize of your choosing. The winner is picked randomly and completely absent of the admin control. I also disabled some admin controls for those events that are running so your users don't feel that your trying to cheat them.
The way the system works is simple. The admin would create a new event, in which a registration date, lotto start date, and how many days the lotto will run. Once running, the system will remove X amount of people per day until there is only one, that one is out winner.
So, lets say today is November 12th, and I set the registration start date to the 14th, lotto start date to the 19th, and the duration to 7, then from the 14th - 18th, people can register. On the 19th, the lotto will start and each day, from the 19th - 26th, (7 days), people will automatically be removed randomly. At the end, there will only be 1 left, and that person is the winner.
I also like to thank Megaboost for testing this system for me and suggesting some of the current functions of the system.
I also would like to give a big thanks to Lonestar for helping out with the image upload system. He is much better with jQuery and Ajax than I am hands down.
